Is it just me, or is it amusing that Liefield, creator of Deadpool, was writing a character that he supposedly ripped off from DC? (Slade Wilson, Wade Wilson. Deathstroke, Deadpool.) I'm surprised that they let him anywhere near the property...
That's my kind of funny. XD

It's hilarious how Rob Liefeld was ripping into Scott Clark for being a "crap artist" on twitter, only for Scott Clark to go onto draw one of the best Deathstroke covers to date.

I hate how some comics will have cool cover art, then the inside art looks nothing like it.

I also hate when sometimes during the middle of a story arc, the art will inexplicably change, or sometimes even in the middle of the comic it changes to a completely different artist. Totally kills the vibe for me.

"worse", sure, but it's still on the low end of the "good" spectrum. I kinda like the cover though, reminds me of early 90s Jae Lee.

@MarvelEPIC: I didn't say that he was. I specifically used the word "supposedly". And I love Deadpool as much as the next guy, but you can't ignore the similarities. And considering what we all know about Liefield and his jackass, cocky attitude, it's quite possible that he did take the Deathstroke framework, twist it a little to make it his own, and sold it as something new.
There's absolutely no denying that the two characters have evolved in entirely seperate ways, and that each is his own very distinct individual now.

@MarvelEPIC: So, your response to my first post got me thinking that maybe I was wrong, so I went on Wikipedia and looked up Deathstroke. Sadly, it seems that Deadpool started off as a total rip-off. Deathstroke was first introduced in 1980,(well before Deadpool first appeared). His real name is Slade Wilson.(Deadpool's is Wade Wilson.) He is a mercenary.(So is Deadpool.) He was imbued with the ability to heal, even from fatal wounds. (Weapon X anybody?)
It would seem that everyone's favorite merc with a mouth started off as a great big rip-off. Don't believe it? Go look for yourself. Sorry, Bud.
