COMICS: Is Thanos' New Girlfriend A Hint At The MCU's Future?

It seems Marvel's Mad Titan has a new main squeeze as revealed in the pages of The Unworthy Thor #5. Will the Marvel Cinematic Universe also use this replacement for Mistress Death in Infinity War?

In addition to revealing what Nick Fury whispered in Thor's ear to make the Odinson unworthy of lifting Mjolnir [Spoiler: Nick Fury essentially told Thor that he knew the Odinson secretly believed that the universe would be better off without gods, which harkens back to Aaron's first Thor story involving Gorr: The God Butcher], Jason Aaron and the art team of  Olivier Coipel, Kim Jacinto and Pascal Alixe also have a pretty unexpected reveal concerning who Thanos is currently cozying up with in the absence of Mistress Death.

With the 616-universe's Mjolnir firmly in Jane Foster's possession, Thor embarked on a quest with Beta Ray Bill to acquire the Ultimate Universe's Mjolnir which was left without an owner after the events of Battleworld.  However, Thanos was also on the hunt for the alternate dimension's uru hammer and dispatched his lieutenants Black Swan, Proxima Midnight and a mysterious hooded woman to retrieve the hammer before Thor and Beta Ray.

Ultimately, the trio failed and upon reporting their defeat to Thanos, the hooded woman subsequently dispatched Proxima and Black Swan as an offering to the Mad Titan and his beloved Death.  The hooded figure then revealed herself to be none other than Hela as the former ruler of Hel and the Mad Titan shared a kiss and made a cryptic promise to bestow death upon the Deviant Eternal.

Ever since Hela was announced as the primary antagonist of Thor: Ragnarok and Cate Blanchett was cast, fans have been crafting theories that the Asgardian ruler of the underworld would be replacing Death as the object of the MCU's Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Does their recent pairing in the comics serve as a portent of things to come in the company's cinematic universe?  Share your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below.
