The final issue of Marvel Comics' latest event, One World Under Doom, arrives in comic book stores tomorrow. Doctor Doom's defeat is inevitable, and when he's no longer Sorcerer Supreme, the Scarlet Witch will be next to hold the mantle.
That was first revealed last month, effectively spoiling One World Under Doom #9 three weeks before it went on sale. Still, we'd imagine that it'll be a big moment in the comic itself, and one we now have a first look at, thanks to Bleeding Cool.
As you can see below, Wanda Maximoff emerges through the Last Door to her Lotkill residence, where she's managed to restore the Eye of Agamotto and the Cloak of Levitation, two of Doctor Strange's most iconic artefacts that now belong to her.
From here, we'll follow the Scarlet Witch's adventures as Earth's primary mystical defender in Sorcerer Supreme, written by Scarlet Witch scribe Steve Orlando and rising star artist Bernard Chang (Blood Hunters).
"When it comes to the Scarlet Witch...anything's possible," Orlando recently said of the upcoming Sorcerer Supreme series. "Those are the words Wanda lives by, and they're the words we as creators live by too.
