Deadpool & Wolverine featured many Variants of Wade Wilson and Logan, but as is so often the case with these movies, not all of them made the cut. Among them was Wolverinepool, a mashup of both characters who originated in the comics.

Today is April Fool's Day and April Pool's Day, and to celebrate the latter, Hot Toys has revealed a new limited edition figure based on this unique Variant. Limited to only 2,000 pieces, this is the real deal and will be highly sought after by fans of both characters.

However, with such a small number being produced, this won't be easy to come by.

Hot Toys has capitalised on the success of Deadpool & Wolverine with a lot of 1/6th-scale figures. The Hong Kong-based company hasn't lived up to its promise to deliver Gambit and Elektra, but other Resistance members—X-23 and Blade—are either already available or on the way.

Beyond the Variants, the first R-rated movie was packed full of Easter Eggs. Discussing those in 2024, filmmaker Shawn Levy revealed some of his favourites.

"There is a super classic old-school Thor helmet in the foreground of a void shot that’s from the '70s or '80s. It feels so rooted in my own youth," he started. "There’s a picture of Tony Stark in Happy Hogan’s office, and we don’t see who is in the picture with Tony. There’s been a lot of fan theories about that, and we conveniently block the other person with an Iron Man helmet. That was a fun shot to line up."

"Obviously, the proof that Tony Stark has a heart was one of the most thrilling shots I’ve ever gotten to do in my career because that’s a part of genre history. And then maybe you’ll notice a walk-and-talk scene on a green rolling hillside, and there’s the charred vehicle and trunk from 'Plane Trains and Automobiles' inexplicably parked on the hillside. That’s a nod to that movie, which inspired a lot of the DNA of our movie," he added.

We swear on Wade Wilson’s chimichangas, this isn’t a prank — we are actually celebrating April Pool’s Day by dropping the wildest variant of them all! Inspired by the mind-blowing concept art from the blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, this glorious mashup brings together the unmistakable attitude of Deadpool and the fierce, claw-slashing brutality of Wolverine into one ultimate variant.

Today, no jokes attached, Hot Toys is thrilled to announce the 1/6th scale Wolverinepool Collectible Figure! Meticulously crafted based on the character in the Deadpool & Wolverine concept art, this detailed figure features a newly developed masked head equipped with three pairs of interchangeable eyepieces, allowing fans to recreate an array of hilarious and intense expressions. Eight interchangeable hands, including newly developed katana-holding and pistol-holding hands, as well as a pair of fists and claw gesture hands to facilitate a wide range of dynamic poses.

Wolverinepool comes dressed in a red-and-black colored suit, complete with a set of newly developed body armor, belt, thigh pistol holsters, and long boots. Ready for maximum carnage, his lethal arsenal includes two katanas with a scabbard that is magnetically attachable to his back, dual pistols, and of course — his claws! Collectors can swap between a pair of claws or a pair with translucent slashing effects to capture the heat of battle.

Available in a limited quantity of 2,000 units in selected markets, you won’t want to miss your chance to add this ultimate mutant mashup to your Marvel display!
