Of of the biggest talking points of Deadpool was its small budget and tight runtime. It's widely known that many planned scenes and characters had to be cut from Deadpool's script to make the $58 million budgetary cutoff, but there is one particular scene that director Tim Miller wanted to keep. During a press event with X-Men producer Simon Kinberg, Miller revealed that the scene would have explored more of Wade Wilson's cancer diagnosis. "There’s a scene, in the script it was called ‘The Cancer World Tour,’ where Wade and Vanessa went around the world to try and find a cure to his cancer. They end the Cancer World Tour having lost hope in this really creepy, shyster clinic in Guadalajara, and this doctor is clearly a quack. And Wade kills him. And it’s this really emotional scene, and Vanessa witnesses it, and it’s the first time he’s really let the monster out, and she sees who he is. And he runs away from her because he’s so ashamed. And it was a really great scene, and Ryan f*cking crushed it. He just crushed it. He was so good, but it just didn’t work with the pacing of the movie so we cut it. It’s a really great scene."

According to Miller, the reason for the cut was that the scene would have slowed down Wade's arrival to Ajax's lab, and put a halt in the film's pacing. Do you agree with the scene being cut, or would you have wanted to see this scene kept in the film? Sound off below!

Without seeing it, I'd say it's a good cut. The movie slows down a little in this section as it is, and that just sounds like it would slow it down even more.

Excellent movie. I agree with cutting this scene, for whatever my opinion is worth. Though I would love to see it.

Weird, in the original script it was just Wade, Vanessa wasn't there.

But [frick] that scene was sick, Wade rips that docs heart out with his bare hand.

I remember reading that in the script.
