DC Future Movie Line-Up Fancast

DC Future Movie Line-Up Fancast

DC just said they'll reveal their future movie line-up at SD Comic-Con so I decided to fancast the movies some sources say they have planned..

Brandon Molale as Billy Batson/Shazam (F.K.A Captain Marvel)
Reason: Molale is a fan-favorite to play truly one of the most underrated comic book heroes, Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel). If the production and script is right then Shazam can succeed where Man of Steel failed and create that symbol of hope for the audience while Zack Snyder gets his shit together and progresses Supes accordingly to make him more of a hero.

Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam
This is a huge possibility as The Rock has confirmed he's playing a DC character and this seems the most likely to me. It was already a huge rumor but now it seems it's not a rumor anymore. Only time will tell.

Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Reason: DC really needs to cash in on their television series. Arrow's a great show and Flash looks to be really good which is why they should test the waters and see if Grant makes a lasting impression before the Flash movie comes out.  It couldn't do any harm to give Grant a shot considering their tv shows have been better than their cinematic universe.

Lonnie "Common" Lynn Jr. as John Stewart/Green Lantern
Due to the low acclaim of Ryan Reynolds' GL movie it looks like DC is gonna give Joghn Stewart a shot this time. My reason for choosing Common is because if you've ever seen Hell on Wheels then you have no reason to doubt his ability to be able to pull off John Stewart. Also it's not like HOW is Common's first acting gig. Casting musicians doesn't normally go well but studios have been smart and have been choosing musicians they are sure can handle the spotlight.

Karl Urban as Arthur Curry/Aquaman
We saw with Man of Steel that DC has the ability to make a somewhat 'corny' superhero badass. Although that wasn't needed for Supes they definitely need that direction for Aquaman as many people question his usefulness and even if he can carry a film by himself. The King of Atlantis is gonna have to kick major ass just to win over non-believers and I think Karl Urban can do that. Urban gives off that king-like vibe somewhat similar to what Russell Crowe gives off. Dye his hair blonde and have a good costume designer because Aquaman is going to need some work for a movie.

Now for some Dark Horses that should..but probably won't get movies

Billy Crudup as Martian Manhunter
Whether or not you liked Watchmen you have to admit as far as CGI and special effect gom Dr. Manhattan isn't far removed from Martian Manhunter, a character I believe is a central member of Justice Leauge. His voice for Manhattan was excellent and I can see no one else doing mo-cap for the heartfelt Martian.

Rooney Mara as Rachel Roth/Raven
Raven is a whole lotta crazy so DC's best bet with the character is to give her her won solo movie or have her join the Justice League with no mention of her backstory so it doesn't hurt the heads of the audience. A former member of the Teen Titans, I figure we could just do the latter to avoid conversations of a Teen Titans movie, which I personally believe couldn't work.

Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow
This is a perfect chance for DC. They could cash in on the Arrow series which gets good ratings weekly, increase Arrow rating by saying "Wanna see this awesome movie we have planned and know what's going on? Watch every episode of Arrow." And just like Flash they could bring in their tv series which (in Arrow's case) already has its' own universe built around it. I enjoy Arrow and have no doubt Stephen could be perfect on-screen but if the DCCU fans don't feel it then just replace him. I personally would nerd out if I seen Stephen's Green Arrow (he would finally go by Green Arrow in this film) shoot some arrows at Cavill's Superman on screen. Perfect introduction.
