This is not an origin story for Barry Allen it is a way to tie Flash into the future Justice League movie. This is not necessarily a prediction but it is who I think should play Flash both Barry Allen and Wally West. This will also feature the death of Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) which will open the door for John Stewart. If you have seen this cast before you will notice some small changes.
Bradley Coper as Barry Allen
Barry Allen should be the Flash he is the 2nd but one of the most known versions of Flash. Bradley Cooper is the perfect fit for Barry Allen the mild mannered, friendly, laid back, sometimes funny, approachable superhero. Bradley Cooper is excellent to carry BRRY Allen up until his demise. Cooper was great in Silver Linings Playbook as an emotionally damaged ex mental patient Pat. He was funny in the Hangover series and was great as Eddie in Limitless. Cooper can pull the perfect Barry Allen the police scientist and bring out the best of the Flash.
Rachel Adams as Iris West
Iris West is the wife of Barry Allen and the Aunt of Wally West (Kid Flash). She works as a reporter in Central City she was born however, in the 30th Century. She learns of Allen’s secret one night as he spoke in his sleep. Rachel Adams is the perfect fit for this role for multiple reasons. The most obvious reason is the chemistry between Adams and Gosling (The Notebook). She is versatile as an actress and will add something to Iris West’s character.
Dominic Purcell as Leonard Snart
Captain Cold is one of the more known villains in the Flash comics. He was ranked in the Top 30 Book of Villains by IGN. Cold is a different personality than what some may think. He has code of honor he does not kill women or children. He takes that same attitude a leads a team of villains known as The Rogues. I choose Cold as the 1st villain for Flash simply because familiarity, popularity, and The Rogues. This will be the start of something that can carry on in at least 1 more standalone Flash movie. Cold’s story line will be in conjunction with the Top they will be introduced as a team of small time criminals The Flash takes down. After escaping prison with a little help from Golden Glider they will seek revenge against the speedster dawning new abilities.
Katheryn Winnick as Lisa Snart
Golden Glider is the sister of Captain Cold she is not a standalone villain but is part of the Rogues she will fight alongside her brother after her boyfriend (Top). Katheryn Winnick looks the part and she has the skills to put on good fight scenes. She has been training in Martial Arts since age 7 she is a beast as Lagertha on History’s hit show Vikings which made my decision easy. Golden Glider will be introduced as a vengeful woman on the Flash for sending her boyfriend and her brother away. She will get her abilities from something out of this world she will use those abilities to help free her brother and boyfriend from prison.
Dylan McDermott as Roscoe Dillon
The Top will help form the trio that will be known as the first Rogues of Flash led by Cpt. Cold. Along with Cold and his girlfriend (Golden Glider) they will first partake in small time crime but only Cold and he will be incarcerated. After escaping from prison he will dawn new abilities to go along with his vengeful rage. McDermott will be excellent at making a relative unfamiliar character memorable. He was great in Olympus has fallen as a traitor and in American Horror Story as the cheating husband.
Dylan Obrien as Wally West
Wally West is the funny, sarcastic, smart, nephew of Iris West and Barry Allen. Wally West is one of the more popular versions of Flash because of his TV appearances most recently on Cartoon Network hit series Young Justice. Wally gets his powers in a freak accident much like Barry got his, in a lab being struck by lightning. The difference was that West was in the lab with Allen and between the mixture of chemicals and the molecules of Allen Wally got his wish of becoming like his favorite hero. West will team up with Allen to help take down The Rogues and another villain unlike Allen has ever faced. Dylan Obrien is the perfect Kid Flash if you ever watched him on MTV’s Teen Wolf you will know why. His character Stiles is a slick mouth, funny, sarcastic, and geeky much of what you would expect Kid Flash to be. Obrien is a star in the making and this could propel him into superstardom. Wally West will be in the future JL and Flash movies replacing Barry Allen (Gosling).
Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan
Many people did not like the original Green Lantern film. I would have Reynolds reprise his role as Hal JJordan in a cameo appearance to help his friend Barry Allen like many times in the comics. Hal Jordan’s LIFE WOULD END here at the hands of Darseid which would warrant a new Green Lantern in a Justice League film.
Jason Momoa as Darkseid
Darseid should be introduced towards the end of the movie in a final battle killing off Hal Jordan. This will of course set the stage for the Justice League movie as Darseid being the main villain. Ron Perlman is 63 today and would essentially be close to 70 but was my first choice. Jason Momoa I think could pull of the role because of his imposing size and voice which is exactly what is needed for Darseid. His work in Conan, Bullet to the Head, and Game of Thrones was one of the reason I went with him.

There you have it, my Flash movie that will tie into a Justice League movie. Darkseid will be the first villain our heroes face in the upcoming JL movie. This film will feature a Green Lantern Flash team up similar to the Batman Superman team up. Hal Jordan’s WILL DIE which will make room for John Stewart (Idris Elba) in the JL movie closing the Ryan Reynolds chapter. This movie will not be an origin story for Barry Allen his story will be told via flashbacks. It will however be an origin story of sorts for Wally West who would take over as Flash in a JL sequel.
