How X-Men: Apocalypse would be the X-Men movie of your dreams.

How X-Men: Apocalypse would be the X-Men movie of your dreams.

So we kind of have an idea of what we are going to see in X-Men Apocalypse or at least what we are NOT going to see. We’ll have teen cyclops, teen Jean Grey. But we still have fan-fiction. What if...?

Excuse me if i have grammar or spelling mistakes, i don't live in an english-speaking country.

Being honest, the x-men haven’t really been on screen at its 100% splendor. We haven’t gottten costumes (Wolverine costume), we haven’t gottten the maximoff twins with magneto, we haven’t gottten genosha, we haven’t gotten normal sentinels... And it differs a lot from the source material. When you look at the x-men from the comics and the x-men from the movies they are very different.

Although of course this doesn’t mean that i don’t like these movies, because i enjoy them a lot, i’m just stating facts.

Last summer we got to see the come back of (almost all of the) original X-men cast. Now in a brief scene we got to see Xavier’s mansion with all of the X-Men back together including Jean Grey, Cyclops, Kitty... The x-men were back. This was a fresh new start on the x-men, a reboot but with the same actors that you love. Now we are getting X-Men: Apocalypse. When i first heard about this i actually thought that this was going to take place in the present and was going to be considered as x-men 4 just with some resurrected characters thanks to the inbetweequel X-Men: Days of Future Past and that it was going to continue with the x-men franchise.

But that’s not what’s gonna happen. Now the x-men franchise is going to continue in the 20th century and that sets frontiers that will impide the filmakers to take certain liberties. For example now we are getting a teenage cyclops, teenage jean grey, teenage storm... and there are certain characters that they just can’t use anyore. This limitates a LOT the possibilities of the x-men movie universe which sucks. But i’m still super pumped and i think that this movie is going to rock, but i am still stating the truth here and i wanted to comment a little bit about it. No need to freak out.

But what if we could get a new X-Men film set in the present with Patrick Stewart’s Xavier versus Apocalypse! Hugh Jackman, the guys from the original trilogy and Magneto in Genosha with Apocalypse as the main villain. Superhero costumes, the blackbird... Kind of like the 90’s X-Men animated show, altough of course not exactly like it, because some stuff that can be made in cartoons, can’t be made in movies ‘cause maybe it would look bad. More like Wolverine and the x-men but only the style, not particularly the plot.

The movie would start practically were DOFP left off, and that is, Wolverine’s mind from the other timeline going back to the changed 2025. So he went to the past in 2025 and when he changed that key element his mind went back  to 2025 but now in the X-Mansion. So in my version of X-Men Apocalypse he goes back to 2016, not 2025 because i want this to be in the present. Xavier explains to Wolverine all that’s happened through the years and that he knew that this moment would come, his other mind would return.

But the movie wouldn’t start with their conversation because it would be weird, it would start with a monologue of professor X, then an action scene maybe, and then cyclops and another x-man talking in the mansion’s garden: “They have been talking in there for a long time” and then we cut to Xavier and Wolverine. I would also like a moment of Wolverine talking about his timeline in wich he explains things that happened, so this would be a great opportunity to explain plotholes like:
 - How did Xavier reappear?
 - How did Magneto get his powers back?
 - How did Wolverine get his adamantium claws back?

But reminding you that Wolverine is from another timeline makes the film not feel like a fresh start. So these explanations would just be in one scene and would never be mentioned again. But still, the fact that Wolverine is from the other timeline makes it feel like it’s not a new frash start, so in the next scene Wolverine would get out of the mansion, go to the garden and reunite with the X-Men. In this scene we would see Logan kind of like reaching happiness and realising that these people are the same that he used to hang out with, so maybe he just starts playing basketball against cyclops and Scott starts bitching or something and Wolverine is just happy and then everything is like before. Then enter: nightcrawler, psylock, colossus, emma frost, rogue, gambit... etc and of course Apocalypse and Magneto, who would have an awesome armour/costume and would live in Genosha with an awesome roster of evil mutants including Domino, Avalanche, Polaris and an epic giant CGI juggernaut!

With this, i’ve set up a new universe for the X-Men, and now it’s up to your imagination how the movie (and/or franchise) would continue. Xavier could just erase Logan's conscience of the other timeline (although i'm not sure if this would work) , but anyways, did you enjoy reading this article? Are you excited about X-Men: Apocalypse? I sure am. Thanks for reading, I am BaronZemo.

In the grand scheme of Comic Book Films, the X-Men franchise is up there with the best. We have only had one poor film, and one incredibly average film. The rest have been, simply put, amazing. While your idea is cool, and would be cool to explore, I think Days Of Future Past was a signing off for the original trilogy, and perhaps, that's why I love that film so much (my second favorite superhero film ever). I love the direction Bryan and Co. Are heading. It is obvious, with the talent they have for the sequels and spin-offs, that Fox know what they are doing, so, I for one am extremely excited for the future of the X-Films.

About that Wolverine costume, and costumes in general... Something tells me Apocalypse will please everyone.

I am optimistic about Apocalypse, X men Days of Future Past is a good movie even though there are some flaws that can be overlooked but plot holes and flaws happen when time travel is introduced. I really love X-men First Class and i though that movie was the closest movie to seeing the X-men work together as a team. As much as i like the original cast members in the other X-men movies i feel like we should all move on and focus on the new cast members from First Class and DOFP. I would like to see a team up between Xavier and The X-men along with Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants against Apocalypse and the Fourhorsemen, it would make the movie more grand. I am however not looking forward to more scenes of Mystique, i feel as if i've seen too much of her through out the new X-men movies and maybe the attention should be focused on other X-men characters or new ones eg. Cyclops.

Also, please bring in the costumes. No one will think it's corny, we have multiple super hero movies with costumes and no one thinks that they are goofy.

I'm pretty sure that Oscar Isaac is not playing Apocalypse, but Mr. Sinister (who always pops up where Apocalypse is).

@Odin - Isaac's a great actor but I'm not too sure about him for Apocalypse (yet anyway). Sinister, on the other hand, is a fantastic piece of casting!

Oh yeah, another movie in the twilight triangle romance of Charles, Eric and Raven featuring a little cameo fom Quicksilver, Gambit and one of the ultimate Marvel baddies who most likely they are going to ruin. Can't wait.

apocalypse is going to look different. the similarities between him and thanos are way too close. (basically same being in different color scheme)
I also wish we had the original cast back. there was something about them at the end of DOFP that seemed.. much more "x-men".

I think comic accurate costumes could have worked. It's all about how you illustrate the world that they're in. Take Watchmen for example? Snyder created a world where those over the top comic accurate costumes worked for that world while it steal had that serious real world tone.
