Here my choices for Directors
#1 Martin Scorsese
Though highly unlikely, Martin is Oscar award winng director and would make this a very serious yet comical movie imagine it as in between of Hugo and Wolf of Wallstreet type movie but with action. He is also good friends with one of my choices for Strange, Leonardo Decaprio which would work well.
#2 Guillermo Del Toro
Again this man is great and has been rumored to be part of this. His work on Hellboy and PAcific Rim show he is great with Visuals and everything else( like action) and I know he is mainly horror, but he did Pacific Rim which was comedy and every movie needs comedy just not too much( Iron Man 3) and he is good with that balance.

Now I know this man directed Lone Ranger, and I agree that movie was boring , but it wasn't shit Pirates 4 is shit. he also directed Pirates 1,2, & 3 which I love and are really fun movies to watch espacilly he 1st Pirates. I am pretty sure he can bring that fun feel of magic to Dr.Strange too.
