I think DC would win just because superman is on that side. Sweet trailer but I don't know if Welling is the best choice for superman but who knows it could work.

People of Marvel have said DC is stronger. I'm more of a DC guy anyway.

DC Side!!! VERY impressive fanmade trailer. I'm especially happy about the replacement of Routh with Welling instead, he will be a much better Superman than Routh was once he becomes Superman this final season of Smallville.

The Hulk vs. Doomsday fight had to be THE MOST IMPRESSIVE part, it looked as though they REALLY did fight!!

Oh and i also still find it funny to this very day how in Spider-Man 1, Spidey basically copied Superman's classic "shirt rip" silly, silly marvel.

I love Marvel but @LP4 it's called paying homage. Remember the scene where Spider-man changes in the steamy alley? Thats homage to the scene in Superman 2. It's not a rip-off.

@Dynamo- paying homage or not, marvel people always talk smack about Supes. Yet here their hero is "paying homage" to Superman (whom Stan Lee even admitted when he created Spider-Man he gave him SUPERMAN'S red/blue theme colors AND job as a nerd at a newspaper) I'm just saying that it's funny how the top hero for DC served as inspiration for the top hero of marvel.

And homage or not, they could have at least said something at the end of the film giving props to Superman. They used the classic shirt-rip (unique only to Superman) and they didn't even give the guy props. The one scene in the hospital where the aunt mentions Superman, they even cut out.

but enough Dynamo I don't need debates, I have a right to my opinion.

LP4-the Hulk and Doomsday part was quite amazing.
Ryden
Ryden - 9/12/2010, 11:21 AM
Marvel would win Silver Surfer and Hulk would destory Superman.

@Lp4- They don;t need to say it's based off of Superman because most people already know that it's the Superman chest-rip. Also, since Superman fitrst did the tearing of the shirt...it's been parodied and copied countless times before Spider-Man did it.

Calm down and go read Spider-Man...oh and btw...they didn;t cut the "You're not Superman y'know" bit out? Where did you get that from? Have you even watched Spider-Man?

People rag on Supes all day every [frick]en day- "he's too powerful, he's lame, he's boring" yada, yada, YADA. It starts to really bug the shit out of me when people diss the very superhero that started it all back in 1938. The OLDEST and FIRST superhero ever. Superman is simply the best, no comparison.

And marvel fans beware- Superman will be back in 2012.

@Ryden- yes they did cut out that scene, I've seen that movie a dozen times. I saw it on t.v just a few months ago too and it was cut out. At any rate, turds need to stop lecturing me on here, [frick].
LP4
LP4 - 9/12/2010, 11:27 AM
@Ryden- Also based on the characters actually IN the trailer, DC would still win (Silver Surfer wasn't in the trailer) I would think- Superman and Doomsday should be enough to overcome Hulk (Supes has beaten Hulk numerous times in the comics) the only one in that trailer that could cause problems for Supes/Doomsday, would be Wolverine...but again it won't be easy for Wolvie either.

DC wins based on pure power alone. In the JLA/Avengers crossover they even admitted the DC heroes were more powerful than the marvel ones.
Dynamo

@Tankgirl @Ryden
There are more powerful people in DC than just Superman. People always forget that. Darkseid alone would massacre Galactus and all his heralds.
Luthor would own Stark. Black Adam would destroy Thor.
No Matter how Hulk strong gets, once he kills Doomsday once, Doomsday will comeback with enough power to destroy him.
@LP4
I'm a massive Superman fan and I hate it when people disrespect him. But I believe in being fair in arguements. Superman IS THE SUPERHERO.

If Stark could get ahold of Kryptonite then Batman can get ahold of Carbonadium and defeat Wolverine.

LP4: If there is a life or death situation happening at this very moment and there was a superhero standing on the corner with his costume under his street clothes, do you think he would take the time to unbutton each individual button on his shirt, or would he rip it the Hell off of him so he could help?

Superman holds no copy writes on ripping off his damn shirt.

And no they didn't cut out Aunt May's Superman reference. Chill out dude, nobody is attacking your boy. We are just pointing out the fact that you are wrong.

Ryden: Where have you been hiding? I haven't seen you on here in ages. =D

But didn't you just say that Marvel can beat DC?
LP4
LP4 - 9/12/2010, 11:38 AM
@Dynamo- I have friends who are marvel fanboys and they hate Superman. All the time when i see them they always make fun of me- "haha, superman had a bastard child" or "superman is lame" i get so annoyed with that disrespect. Marvel fans are usually made up of people who- like their heroes to be real-world and down to earth. Superman is anything BUT those things...so naturally they bully Supes. What they fail to understand is WHY Superman is so damn powerful- to be the superhero who starts it all...you really should have ALL the basic/elemental powers. How can one start the trend of superpowers and not even have the powers?

Superman is and always shall remain- the GREATEST comic book superhero ever created. Characters like- Wolverine, Green Lantern and Punisher may be popular these days...but Superman is basically their "father" and the father of all comics.
LP4
LP4 - 9/12/2010, 11:43 AM
@Hawksblueyes- Actually you're wrong when you say- "superman holds no copyright on ripping off his damn shirt" he may not hold any LEGAL copyright but that is nonetheless something Superman STARTED and is well-known for that. Heck, the way Spider-Man did it was an obvious reference to how Superman did it, it wasn't just by random like the way you make it sound. The slow-motion focus on Peter ripping his shirt, revealing his chest symbol. So when you say "If there is a life or death situation happening at this very moment and there was a superhero standing on the corner with his costume under his street clothes, do you think he would take the time to unbutton each individual button on his shirt, or would he rip it the Hell off of him so he could help?" You made it sound like Peter did it as a spur of the moment kind of thing, which it wasn't.

@LP4
Maybe you should get them to read some of the classic Superman stories. Or to more naturally ease them into it, contemporary stories like Birthright or Red Son. Oh and my favourite story "What's so funny about Truth, Justice and The American way?".

@Jojo Rensin.
Once again, all those characters pale in comparison to the New Gods alone. Let alone mystical charactes in the DC Universe. For example Mr.Myxlpltzc would just turn them all into dolls.

I disagree on both parts. DC comics characters have been said to be stronger even by Marvels characters.
In the movies however, Marvel have much more characters. DC have, what? 2, 3? Marvel would win.
