According to Deadline, McG (This Means War, Terminator: Salvation, Charlies Angels) is in talks to direct Sony's big-screen reboot of Masters of The Universe. The studio has been trying to get this one off the ground for years, with several different writers and directors attached at various stages. There was a previous 1987 movie starring Dolph Lungdren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor, but that was... not very good.

McG will also oversee a rewrite of the latest script by Alex Litvak and Mike Finch, while Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are on board as producers. The story focuses on He-Man, "a prince who transforms into a warrior and becomes the last hope for a magical world that has been ravaged by the sinister Skeletor."

Does this have any hope of being good? Sound off below.
