'Hannibal' Screenwriter To Pen FRIDAY THE 13th Reboot

Will next year's FRIDAY THE 13th reboot be any better than the lackluster 2009 interpretation? Well, it looks like it has taken a small step in the right direction...

A reboot of the iconic horror franchise is due next year and Hannibal screenwriter, Nick Antosca, has been hired to write a draft of the script to the reboot. This definitely gives hope to those expecting little quality from the upcoming reboot, as Hannibal is often considered to be the best series on network television and occasionally the best show on television in general. The reboot is expected by reliable source, The Hollywood Reporter, to be a found footage film and will explain why Jason Voorhees can't be killed. Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are reprising their roles from the 2009 reboot as producers.

It is unknown how the film will be connected to the upcoming Friday the 13th TV series (if at all), which is rumoured to air on the CW, a network a majority of users on this site are well familiar with. Friday the 13th fans also ought to keep an eye on the Friday the 13th video game that is expected to be released this October. At this point, it is either a great time to be a fan of the franchise or a bad time depending on your perspective.

Welcome, I am Darkknight2149. I am primarily a fan of comic books and their various adaptations, as well as horror and other classic film franchises.

As far as the "DC vs. Marvel" rivalry goes, I'm really not biased when it comes to studios and publishers. Preferences are fine, but I've never understood the basing of opinions purely by the studio/publisher that makes it.
