The Dark Tower received a mixed response both critically and commercially so now Stephen King fans are hoping that Andres Muschietti's take on IT will deliver on its promise to adapt the classic novel in a truly terrifying fashion. If these new photos released by Entertainment Weekly are any indication, though, we can expect Pennywise the Clown to freak us all out when he returns to the big screen.

Talking to the publication, actor Bill Skarsgard explained how the clown's pursuit of young, innocent victims is a form of self-amusement him. "It truly enjoys the shape of the clown
Pennywise, and enjoys the game and the hunt. What’s funny to this evil entity might not be funny to everyone else. But he thinks it’s funny." Pennywise's target in the movie will be the Losers Club and they're also pictured below as they attempt to track down the monstrous clown to put a stop to him for good.

Director Andres Muschietti reveals that he intends to "keep it weird" with his portrayal of Pennywise, creating terror through the clown’s nightmarish behaviour. "Pennywise does things that make absolutely no sense, but they’re very disturbing because of the weirdness." What do you guys think?
