The director of the new version of The Thing recently sat down to a new interview, where he says that his version has lot in common with the John Carpenter movie from 1982.

Matthijs van Heijningen, the director of the The Thing prequel, recently sat down with Collider to discuss his new movie. Heijningen says that the movie has a lot in common with Carpenter’s 1982 film of that this movie is based on. He also talked about the cultural divide that really makes up the heart, of the film.








Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., The Thing is a prequel to the John Carpenter movie from 1982 and it has on the cast Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Joel Edgerton and Ulrich Thomsen, the movie is set to come on October 14th!
