A preview of season nine was shown following the season eight sizzle reel from the video above and it was revealed that Sam and Dean are now planning on using the captured Crowley to learn the name of every demon in possession of a human. The scale of the upcoming ninth year of the show was also teased, as the decision not to close the gates of Hell will come back to haunt the brothers, as will the fact that the angels have fallen to Earth. Castiel will of course now be powerless, and Misha Collins (who will direct an episode this season) promised that this will result in some very new and humourous moments for the character. It was also confirmed that fan favourite Felicia Day will return as Charlie. After nearly a decade on the air, Supernatural is showing no signs of slowing down.
