JUSTICE LEAGUE Was Reportedly Going To Feature An Appearance From The Villainous Desaad At One Point

We don't know if he would've had a substantial role or just made a fleeting appearance, but it seems Darkseid's sadistic henchman Desaad was originally going to show up in Justice League before being cut.

Another intriguing tidbit from the VFX artist that worked on Justice League was shared during his Reddit AMA, as he's revealed that the film originally featured an appearance from one of Darkseid's most sadistic followers, Desaad.

When asked about rumors of deleted scenes involving Darkseid and more of the New Gods, LDN_Film responded, "Desaad was in there originally, I'm not sure how far that got though. He looked grim reapery, skull like with a big cloak. Never saw Darkseid."

SPOILERS: The Main Characters Of JUSTICE LEAGUE Ranked From Least To Most Memorable

This character has been depicted as both human-like and in a far more monstrous form in the comics, but it definitely sounds like his big screen counterpart would have veered towards the latter.

We don't get any more details on what Desaad's scene(s) would have entailed, but chances are he would only have popped up very briefly in the flashback sequence which also featured the likes of Zeus, Artemis and a certain ring-slinging alien.
