JUSTICE LEAGUE: We Now Know How Henry Cavill's Superman Is Resurrected - Major SPOILERS Ahead
We were bound to get the details on this at some point before Justice League hit theaters, and now we know how The Man of Steel is brought back to life in the movie. Be warned, major SPOILERS follow...
Now that several critics and fans have had the chance to see Justice League, the inevitable spoilers have begun to find their way online, and this one is by far the juiciest yet.
Final warning: if you don't want to know all of the details on how Superman is resurrected in the film, stop reading here!
You've probably already heard that the manner in which the Man of Steel is brought back to life is expected to be divisive, and reading through the following breakdown of the events by WeGotThisCovered.com, it's not hard to see why:
"His resurrection comes courtesy of a number of factors, namely the genesis pool from his Kryptonian ship, an Apokoliptian Motherbox and a spark provided by The Flash. Once they got this figured out, the League get out the shovels for some good old-fashioned bodysnatchin’ and exhume his corpse. Fortunately, his Kryptonian DNA means he hasn’t decomposed, so they zap him back to life. Unfortunately for the team, though, Superman is a little grumpy and confused about being returned to the world of the living, something not helped by Cyborg’s defence systems zapping him."
Apparently, this leads to a short fight between Supes and the League, which Lois Lane manages to diffuse with her presence. Then, the newly-replenished Krytonian hero joins his future teammates in the battle against Steppenwolf.
It doesn't really sound that bad on paper, but reports indicate that the other characters are just suddenly aware of how to restore life to Superman without much in the way of an explanation.
