EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Tim Minear Talks "Alien Nation"

Last week The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Angel/Dollhouse producer Tim Minear was developing a new version of Alien Nation for the SyFy Channel. Now CBM's sister site, Earth's Mightiest, has an exclusive interview with Minear in which he elaborates on his thoughts regarding Alien Nation.

In this interview, Minear discusses the fact that his reimagining of the concept -- which sounds similar to the way that Ron Moore reimagined Battlestar Galactica -- has more to do with the original 1988 feature film than the 1989-90 TV series developed by "V" creator Kenneth Johnson. "When I went back and looked at the movie," he says, "it just felt to me like the central idea was very clear.: oppressed minority. Racism. it seemed to be content to make that point. [But] in a post 9-11 War On Terror world, it just felt like here was a concept that could really be used to explore so much more."
