Hasbro’s the Black Series was a bold foray into a new realm of collecting when it debuted in 2013, since beforehand, the Star Wars collecting community primarily focused on the 1:18th, or 3.75 inch scale. The line began with the goal of bringing fan-favorite characters into a definitive representation in the 6-inch scale for adult collectors. The term “definitive” is important, however, as over the past 12 years Hasbro has continually improved tooling, articulation schemes, and character likeness resulting in reissues and re-dos. With continual innovation in figure design and character selection, the line is arguably in the best place it's been.

Every year, collectors and content creators across the Black Series community share their most wanted lists, typically a list of ten characters they’re dreaming of seeing join the 6-inch action figure line. Not only have the annual tier lists and wish lists become a tradition - they're a celebration. But this year, something new is launching: a definitive fan-chosen list.

Tommy of the breakout YouTube channel Blitz Transmissions, among other Black Series content creators, has just unveiled Black Series Most Wanted, a brand new fan-driven campaign designed to bring our collective wish-lists to life. Inspired by the 3.75inch line the Vintage Collection events like Last Figure Standing and SWTVC March Madness, Black Series Most Wanted invites us all to submit our top most-desired character Yes, 12! Why? Because there are always at least a few honorable mentions we sneak in anyway, so now they join the fold of full fledged members of  our most wanted lists!

Starting December 1st, 2025, collectors and supporters alike can submit their personal Top 12 Black Series wish-list picks. Anything goes - main characters, much needed re-makes, droids, aliens, gulp … umm, background characters! This isn’t about what’s “retail friendly” or what might get made. It’s about passion: what figures do you absolutely need on your shelf?

So here’s how YOU can get involved! Simply follow the Black Series Most Wanted Instagram page here. A google form will be posted on December 1st, 2025 where anyone can submit their top 12 most wanted figures. After a three to four week submission period, submissions will be codified into a cohesive, definitive list of the top 12 most wanted figures for the Black Series. The final list will very likely be announced in a video or livestream to the community to celebrate and, more importantly, see who made the cut. You can also use the tag #blackseriesmostwanted on your Black Series and collecting thoughts. and most of all - share! The more responses the Most Wanted initiative gets, the more seriously Hasbro will take the campaign.

In the meantime the page will be dropping daily silhouettes of characters not yet featured in the toy line. Not only will this engage the community in a fun way, but it helps generate more excitement for the project. It also helps jog our memory as to who we may have forgotten isn't in the line yet - here's looking at you Ben Quadrinaro! On launch day, Tommy will be kicking things off with a livestream full of channel regulars like Stoned Mandalorian, Hybrid Toy Reviews, Sarlacc Digest, and surely more from across the community!

Projects like this remind us what makes collecting special. We’re not just chasing hunks of plastic, we’re celebrating memories and stories that made us fall in love with Star Wars in the first place. We all come from different backgrounds, beliefs, and places, yet we gather around the same galaxy far, far away. This event is a testament to what fandom can be when it’s supportive, inclusive, and just plain fun.

What’s more is that this is not just a “by fans for fans” project - Hasbro is watching. According to Hybrid Toy Reviews, the list will be presented to Hasbro for awareness. While there’s no guarantee that anything concrete will happen, the past 18 months that Hasbro does indeed pay attention to fan sentiments. Savage Opress, Super Battle Droid, the Droideka, and recently Kyle Katarn have all been regulars on most wanted lists and have been released since their appearances.

You can follow the Black Series Most Wanted page here! You can also check out Blitz Transmissions here, where Tommy is regularly uploading not only Black Series reviews, but content revolving around the full spectrum of Star Wars. As for the Spaceport, you know where to find me here! Are you excited for where the Black Series line is and where it's going? Sound off in the comments, spread the word on the Black Series Most Wanted project and of course, may the Force be with you… always!

Is this really news? Fans wanting other fans to make a list of figures that they want to see made isn’t exactly actual news. Not to belittle the channel but they have 2.5k subscribers, so I wouldn’t even say this is news in the sense that a famous channel or influencer is talking about something new. It’s just fans talking about wishlists…

I fully hope you get whatever figures you want actually made and that Hasbro listen to you guys, but… come on. News, this is not

@MikeyL - The collecting space is pretty niche, particularly once you start focusing on particular lines and brands. The channels discussed are fairly well known in the Black Series community. That, and given that there hasn't really been a unifying campaign like this and Hasbro paying attention, then yes I'm inclined to spread the word. Thanks for the read!
