STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI: General Hux Ponders The Future Of The First Order In This New Still

As Imperials go, General Hux was up there as one of the most despicable after his introduction in Star Wars: The Force Awakens but what should we expect from him in The Last Jedi? We don't really know because the character's role has been kept very much under wraps but Domhnall Gleeson has now shed some light on that, specifically mentioned the relationship between Hux and Kylo Ren here.

"Because of what happened in the first film, he's been pushed to a place where his position is in real jeopardy, and people make really bad decisions when they get desperate," Gleeson has revealed in a new interview with Empire Online. "Hux and Kylo Ren are vying for power and for Snoke's attention. They’re both contenders for the throne and Hux is hoping Ren explodes, so that he can take up the mantle. He knows it will be a battle otherwise, one he may very well lose." Who will win? We'll see!

A new image of Hux has also been released, and as you can see, he appears to be ponding what comes next for The First Order. Are you excited to see him
return in Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Sound off below.

We’ve come so far since the “rumors” Hux was the fallen son of Luke Skywalker. Or was it he was undercover?

@PicolasCage - His job is to play off Kylo Ren, Snoke is pitting them against each other to see which is more useful

I'd be upset too if I realized that the First Order will build another Death Star in the next film that will just be blown up. Porgs will probably destroy a legion of ground troops on a forest moon somewhere, as well...

@IronGenesis - I just saw that— that came out of [frick]ing nowhere lol. I dig it though, I love the aesthetic (same for Gotham by Gaslight).

Would be cool to see other characters outside of the Gotham sphere adapted in that style too
