In the mid 80's the first animated Star Wars TV series, Droids, aired and in hindsight, it actually featured quite a lot of surprising parallels to The Force Awakens. Hit the jump to check out the video.
Check out the embedded video below for a breakdown of the first episode of Droids from 1985! That series features a lot of weird nods to mordern Star Wars fims including characters similar to both Rey and Kylo Ren. Maybe it's a coincidence... OR IS IT? Probably a coincidence.
