Untitled DC Film (THE FLASH?) Moves Up; Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE Moves Back

Warner Bros. has shifted around the release dates of a couple of their upcoming 2018 releases including an Untitled DC Film, which is likely The Flash, and Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.

It's being reported by various outlets that Warner Bros. Pictures has moved Steven Spielberg's highly anticipated adaptation of the Ernest Cline sci-fi novel Ready Player One, which currently has Olivia Cooke (Me And Earl And The Dying Girl) & Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline) attached to star, from December 2017 to March 30, 2018. The move allows the film to avoid a major clash with Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII. The new date now falls right around Easter and with no major releases planned in April, the Spielberg-helmed film should perform well with an uninterrupted run until the arrival of Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 on May 4.

Additionally, to avoid a clash with the newly-replaced Ready Player One, WB has also moved an untitled DC Comics film up one week from March 23, 2018 to March 16, 2018. The film in question is said to be the Ezra Miller-led big-screen version of The Flash, which has Seth Grahame-Smith directing.

Both Ready Player One and The Flash will receive IMAX releases.
