Thor: Love and Thunder has not been delayed - but director Taika Waititi will be stepping behind the camera to helm a smaller project for Fox Searchlight before committing to the mammoth Marvel Studios movie.
According to
Variety, Waititi will write and direct the mysterious film, which also has Garrett Basch, Jonathan Cavendish and
Venom 2 director Andy Serkis on board to produce through their Imaginarium banner.
Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps (there's not so much as a hint in the trade's report), but if the
Jojo Rabbit director is involved you can bet it's going to be something out of the ordinary!
We should have a bit more to go on pretty soon, because the project has reportedly already been greenlit and is expected to begin shooting this fall.
