When Avengers: Endgame arrived in theaters in 2019, it wrapped up with Steve Rogers travelling back in time to get his happy ending with Peggy Carter. That scene was depicted in a flashback from the present day, where Captain America reunited with Sam Wilson as an old man.
Steve hasn't been seen since, though several Multiverse Saga projects have indicated that the hero might have died (all we really know is that he's "gone").
In Avengers: Doomsday, several years will have passed before Steve is reunited with his old friends. That will seemingly come as a result of the Incursions laying waste to the Multiverse, and if the rumours are true, Cap, Peggy, and their son have been hiding out on Earth-828, the home of the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom.
The Avengers Endgame: Encore leaks have started in recent days, and scooper @MyTimeToShineH has now revealed the re-release's ending and two post-credits scenes. The insider has a solid track record with details like these, so chances are this is accurate.
It's said that the movie now ends with Loki visiting Steve. Again, if previous reports are accurate, the God of Mischief learned that the hero's timeline would be pruned by the TVA and moved him and his family to safety in a reality where they don't exist. However, that may be what caused the accident which killed Doom's family and left him scarred.
As for the Avengers Endgame: Encore's stingers, the first shows the TVA watching the various timelines being erased (remember, when Avengers: Doomsday begins, Earth-616, Earth-828, and Earth-10005 will be the last realities left standing). In the second post-credits scene, Doom recruits The Hulk, though what exactly that means is still a mystery. Heck, it may even be a Hulk Variant, not the Bruce Banner we know.
For fans concerned that Marvel Studios would just stick a slightly different Avengers: Doomsday trailer on the end of Avengers: Endgame, the fact that there's some new—and hugely exciting—additional content will be welcomed.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the movie features an epic ensemble which includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
