Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Mark Sheppard is all-set to guest star on next week's Doom Patrol as Willoughby Kipling, a chaos magician and friend of Dr. Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton) who likes drinking almost as much as he likes saving the world from apocalyptic death cults.

The episode will see our misfit heroes partner with Kipling to take down a dangerous cult and we get a first look at some of that action in the new promo for "Cult Patrol."

DOOM PATROL reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of Super Heroes: Robotman aka Cliff Steele (BRENDAN FRASER), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (MATT BOMER), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (APRIL BOWLBY) and Crazy Jane (DIANE GUERRERO), led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka The Chief (TIMOTHY DALTON). Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found their purpose through The Chief, coming together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence. Following the mysterious disappearance of The Chief these reluctant heroes will find themselves in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg (JOIVAN WADE), who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them.

Doom Patrol features:
Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder/The Chief
Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele/Robotman
Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor/Negative Man
April Bowlby as Rita Farr/
Elasti-Woman
Joivan Wade as Victor Stone/Cyborg
Diane Guerrero as Kay Challis/Crazy Jane
Phil Morris as Silas Stone
Alan Tudyk as Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody

Doom Patrol returns with a brand new episode on March 8

A good, solid episode but I thought it was the weakest of the three so far. Very wacky, but not too much going on until the last quarter of the episode. Thought it started out really good but slowed down a lot during the middle. A lot of talking and less stuff going on. I think some of the reasons I didn't care for this episode as much were 1) less going on so a lot of talking, 2) no Nobody (his absence was pretty noticeable to me), 3) less Cyborg. But as I said, good episode; just wish the first 3/4 of it were as strong as the last 1/4...

Regardless of that, the fight scenes in Fuktopia with Robotman and Crazy Jane were both freaking bloody awesome and probably the two best fight scenes of the season so far. Awesome, insane stuff.

Was also nice to get some backstory to Larry, just seems like they are taking a while to get him anywhere. Wish they would develop Rita some.

@Krav - Not seen the show yet, but in the comics, Kipling was created because Vertigo wouldn't let them use Constantine.
