SUPERGIRL Set Photos Provide Our First Look At Mark Gibbon As General Zod; Tyler Hoechlin Returns As Superman
We recently found out that Supergirl would introduce a new small-screen incarnation of classic Superman villain General Zod, and we have our first look at actor Mark Gibbon in the role right here...
Well, it looks like those rumors of Mark Gibbon (Man of Steel, Chronicles of Riddick) joining the cast of Supergirl as General Zod were on the money, as we have our first behind-the-scenes look at the actor in full costume as the nefarious Krytonian baddie, thanks to Twitter user ThemysciraBound.
We don't have a lot of context for the scene being filmed, but it seems to involve Zod threatening some civilians on order to draw our Kara (Melissa Benoist) and the returning Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, who is also pictured.
Supergirl returns with a brand new episode next Monday on The CW.
