WandaVision scribe Jac Schaeffer is going to be sticking with Marvel for a while longer.

The head writer/showrunner for the first MCU-set Disney+ miniseries has signed a new three-year overall deal with Marvel and 20th Television to create and develop TV content (it doesn't sound like she'll be involved in any upcoming movies) for both Disney-owned platforms. No specific projects were announced as part of the deal, but a second season of WandaVision remains unlikely.

The finale of the critically acclaimed show saw Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) unleash her full power and become the Scarlet Witch, bidding farewell to "fake" Vision (Paul Bettany) and their kids in the process. The story is set to continue, but on the big screen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Schaeffer began her career back in 2009 as a writer/director/producer on Timer before going on to pen the screenplays for Disney’s animated 2017 feature Olaf’s Frozen Adventure and 2019’s The Hustle. In addition to creating WandaVision, she contributed to the story for the upcoming Black Widow movie.

Which projects would you most like to see Schaeffer move on to in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Drop us a comment down below.
