WHAT IF? Marvel Legends Figures Reveal A Shocking New Take On Nebula, Zombie Hunter Spidey, And More

Hasbro just revealed a new wave of Marvel Legends action figures based on What If?, and there's a new take on Nebula here that's definitely a departure from what we're used to seeing. Check it out...

We know the plan is for What If? is to flip the script on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the changes being made to some characters are perhaps even more significant than we anticipated.

Earlier today, Hasbro revealed an upcoming series of Marvel Legends action figures based on the animated series, and while we're waiting on hi-res images, we still have plenty to discuss here. We've already seen quite a bit of Captain Carter, T'Challa/Star-Lord, and Doctor Strange Supreme, but we're definitely intrigued by these closer looks at Zombie Captain America and a version of Peter Parker (we're assuming that's him) dubbed "Zombie Hunter Spidey."

The colours on his costume seem to be a little different, and the outfit is actually closer to the one worn by the Disney Parks version of Spider-Man to the suits we've seen him wear in the MCU thus far.

Regardless, the biggest talking point here is "Heist Nebula." This version of the character has blonde hair and doesn't have any of the scars or cybernetic enhancements inflicted upon her by Thanos. In fact, this version looks very similar to the one from the Infinity Gauntlet storyline who used the Gems to return to what she once looked like (we're betting this Nebula simply never met the Mad Titan).

Check out these What If? action figures below and stay tuned for our reaction to Marvel Studios' first animated series a little sooner than you might have expected...

Someone pointed out that one of the only two with the ‘Marvel’s’ designation is Captain Carter, the other Sylvie who’s already in Loki. Spells well for her appearing in live-action

I'm not a big fan of Marvel Legends, mainly because their articulated joints are too noticeable. But I may make an exception for that Zombie Captain America. That one is awesome.

@CorndogBurglar - They have improved a lot lately. They are implementing pinless technology with new molds so the joints are not so noticeable. However, it also dependes of the figure...

I like this Dr. Strange costume more than the current MCU one.

Karen Gillan said her Nebula voice was inspired by Marilyn Monroe, so the blond Nebula might be a reference to that.

Damn that's a nice Spidey. Cool how you can flip him into kind of a regular MCU Spidey.

@PapaSpank54 - Without the cloak it’s actually just the Disneyland Spider-Man suit!
