San Diego Comic-Con Málaga takes place this weekend, and we have some shots of the convention's Avengers: Doomsday display along with a new international poster.

The artwork features Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) in his throne room with three of his Latverian Witches in the background.

The movie will reportedly introduce more than three of these mysterious magic-wielders, although we're still not sure which characters are under those masks. Fans are hoping that one of these disciples will turn out to be the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), but there are plenty of other possibilities.

If a recent plot leak is to be believed, one of the Witches will actually be revealed as a shape-shifter who takes the form of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) in an attempt to fool Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Other theories point to Clea (Charlize Theron) and Sylvie Laufeydottir (Sophia Di Martino).

Doom is clearly going to have a lot of backup in Doomsday and Secret Wars, as we see the ruler of Latveria "recruiting" Bruce Banner in one of Avengers Endgame: Encore's new post-credits scenes.

“I think [what] we could say is, [Banner] is certainly involved in the story that revolves around Doom,” co-director Joe Russo told Empire Online in a recent interview. “We will not confirm nor deny his appearance in Doomsday.”

Anthony Russo added, “The farthest we can go is to say, there are characters and actors who have not been announced, who are a part of Doomsday.”

In related news, Marvel Studios' boss Kevin Feige was recently honored at the Pioneer of the Year Dinner and made it clear that the MCU is nowhere close to being done.

"[Avengers:] Doomsday is just our 39th film. We still have many stories to tell, many films to make, because we love making these films. We really do."

There's a chance we might see a new Doomsday teaser during the event, so keep an eye on CBM for updates.

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars were hit with significant delays last year, with Doomsday now set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars positioned for December 17, 2027.

Both movies will be directed by the Russo brothers, who also make their MCU return after helming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

"Universes collide and the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and ultimately face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. This epic film will lay the foundation for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Doomsday will star:

Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Florence Pugh as Yelena, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, James Marsden as Cyclops, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent

Along with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and, of course, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

Cool poster , I’m still thinking these witches are this movies version of the Black Swan cult from the Secret Wars comic rather then named characters but we’ll see!!.

Also regardless of whether you are a fan of the MCU or not , 39 films thus far is an achievement so I commend Feige & his team for that atleast since making even 1 big film can be hard enough (not to mention the shows , specials etc)…

Anyway , long live the MCU and I hope we continue to get more awesome stuff moving forward!!.

All complaints aside (whether thats a drop off in quality, quantity over quality, or about what a slog it can be, how daunting it can be for newcomers to feel like they can jump in) -- 39 films (essentially in continuity) is really, really incredible. I remember a day when the Star Wars universe expanding to the prequels felt impressive. Ha!

That poster goes HARD. Whoever they have doing the poster design for this and if it was the same who did the Brand New Day posters, is KILLIN it. The first one of Doom in front of the tapestry was awesome too.
