RESULTS: What Did You Think Of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?

No doubt Christopher Nolan's final Bat-flick was popular here on CBM, but it was definitely more divisive than The Avengers. Do the poll results reflect that? Click to find out..

They most certainly do not. The Dark Knight Rises was recently voted as the best CBM of the year by you guys, and looking at these results it's not hard to see why. As you can see, the poll picked up over 9,000 votes, with the voting running from the most positive option (over 64% of you thought it was excellent) right down in numbers to the least (only 2% of you thought it was rubbish).

It seems a few plot-holes -- although a good portion of these I've read are more a case of people not paying enough attention to the movie -- and mixed feeling about the movie's ending were not enough to keep it from being seen as a resounding success here on CBM.

@enggarb. It'll probably fall to around 8.5 when all is said and done. Right between BB and TDK, seems about right.

Great! Can't wait to see it in IMAX for my second sitting. Bane breaking Batman's back is the best scene in the trilogy.

It might be the best 'Batman' movie but as a movie in general definitely not even close to the Dark Knight.

I am not fan of Nolan, but as Batman fanboy, i am relaxed n happy to know that my hero rises again in terms of quality n commercial, after Joel Schumacher "murdered" him with bat nipple.

Great trilogy! I am very happy with all three films. As a whole I would grade the trilogy a 9.5 out of 10.

@MrEko - That is the comment of the week!

TDKR is definitely the best movie I've seen in a while, but definitely not the best movie ever. One of the best stories I've seen in a movie ever, but the action could've been betters...

watched it twice & got teary eyed every time Alfred was on scene, as brief as they were. Michael Caine owned every scene & deserves an Oscar nod for this role.

Though it was a good film. Wrapped up nearly everything nicely. But not mentioning the Joker felt odd, maybe even a bit forced. Is Gotham still so traumatized from his rampage that in this bat-verse Joker became Voldemort-like?!?

TDKR explores many of the same themes as its predecessors and concludes the series in a supremely satisfying way.

Honestly, to me, it is easily the weakest of the three, but really that doesn't mean much as I still thought it was great.

I enjoyed it more than enough to plan see it a few more times with my friends who have not seen it yet.

This makes Nolan's whole Batman storyline one of the best trilogies made and hands down the best comic-based trilogy out today.

Since, I always compare the comic book films to the comic books, I thought the movies was good, I was really impressed with Bane. I have seen the actor in other movies and I was really impressed with his version of Bane. I some how could not really get into Catwoman character, Nolan version of her was not really my cup of tea but overall the film was worth it.

I hope the next Batman movies, includes Superman or at least the Flash. One of my favorite villains outside of the Joke is Hush, I would love to see him go up against the Bat.

Nomis, John Williams, for some unknown reason, seems to always capture the right score for the right mood in movies.

This movie was terrible! Continuity all screwed up? The cops in the sewers for months but their uniforms look clean and they look so healthy?! Where the hell is the joker?! How did Gordon not know who batman was? What kind of detective is he?! You nolanite make me sick. A turd dipped in gold is still a turd....

I don't think that's completely true either. He definitely takes liberties with the source material, but not that many with the essence of the character. There are so many interpretations of Batman -- Miller's is nothing like Moore's, Moore's nothing like Snyder's etc -- this is just Nolan's, up there on the screen and not the comic pages. But the things that all incarnations keep in common (expect, funnily enough Burton's murderer Batman!), he does too. He also gives us absolutely superb big screen versions of Alfred, Gordon, Joker and yes,..Bane and Catwoman, a few liberties not withstanding. I've said it a million times -- we may very well get a more "faithful" version of the stories from the comics with the reboot, but a better set of movies? Good luck!

When i watched TDKR for the first time , i felt that "who the hell this Blake?!" too involved in TDKR.
Second watch : i felt like watching robin without mask..
Third time : dinamic duo in action...

maybe TDKR can be titled as "Robin Begins"...
