The Batman 2 Set Videos May Reveal Our First Look At Scarlett Johansson's Character

Though it's difficult to tell for sure, these latest videos from the Glasgow set of Matt Reeves' The Batman sequel might just reveal our first glimpse of Scarlett Johansson's mysterious character...

As filming continues on the Glasgow, Scotland set of Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II, there's speculation that these latest spy videos may reveal our first glimpse of Scarlett Johansson's mysterious character.

One of the clips shows a blonde woman riding shotgun in the Batmobile. It certainly could be Johansson, but the footage is too blurry to tell for sure, and the one time the person shooting the video zooms in to try to get a better shot, someone steps in front of the camera.

Assuming this is the Black Widow star (as far as we're aware, she is the only main female cast member), it seems unlikely that she's playing a version of Poison Ivy, who has always been depicted with red/aurburn hair.

Then again, Reeves could have decided to change things up a little, and we have heard that Johansson might be playing an amalgamation of several different characters.

There are only so many assumptions we can make based on hair color alone, so hopefully we'll get a clearer look at this mystery woman soon.

The other video shows a SWAT team closing in on the Batmobile, which would obviously suggest that the Dark Knight will once again find himself on the GCPD's bad side in the sequel. Unless the cops are actually hunting the girl in the passenger seat, and Batman is protecting her for whatever reason?

Earlier this year, Reeves officially announced the movie's main cast on social media.

The filmmaker confirmed that Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jeffrey Wright (Jim Gordon), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb/The Penguin), Jayme Lawson (Bella Réal) and Gil Perez-Abraham (Officer Martinez) will reprise their roles, alongside new cast members Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry.

Reeves did not reveal the characters Gotham City's new additions will play.

After several previous delays, The Batman - Part II was scheduled to arrive in theaters on October 1, 2027, but was recently pushed back to February 18, 2028.

It'd be funny if they made Pattinson's Batman a lothario like James Bond and he gets close with a new lady in each movie. There would be so much hysterical outrage.

@IAmAHoot - is he not? Batman hasn't had the same love interest in any one film.

@IAmAHoot - Classic Bruce is a billionaire playboy. He absolutely should be landing his bat in the cave. Man, I’d love a smaller scale sequel with Bruce trapped in Arkham and forced to take in a gauntlet of his greatest villains while solving some mystery (basically like the game), with Joker pulling the strings.

@IAmAHoot - Aside from Selina and Talia, he gets around.

Have a feeling she might be playing Harvey’s sister, not his wife.

@MisterBones - possibly, but wasn't Vale a ginger in the comics?

@MarkCassidy - You're right but it seems in some media outside of comics she is blonde. Arkham games she was blonde.
