Hans Zimmer, who co-composed the dark original score for the Batman Begins film, says he will return to compose the score for The Dark Knight. Zimmer added that when finished with the 2nd installment (to be completed early 2008), he will take a year away from

writing to play concerts. Hans Zimmer composed alongside James Newton Howard for Batman Begins, though it hasn't been revealed whether or not Howard will join again for the Dark Knight installment.
