Oscar Winning Actress Brie Larson Is The Frontrunner To Play CAPTAIN MARVEL
We've heard a lot of rumours about who will end up playing Carol Danvers on the big screen, but the trades have finally weighed in, and it turns out that Room star Brie Larson is in talks for the role...
Kevin Feige promised that we'd get some Captain Marvel casting news this summer, and Variety has delivered! They've revealed today that Room and Short Term 12 star Brie Larson is in early talks to play Carol Danvers in the character's planned solo movie (and presumably Avengers: Infinity War based on comments made from both the site and the Russos during the Captain America: Civil War press tour).
The trade mentions that they're unsure of where things currently stand in terms of the negotiations which are taking place, but the actress - who will be seen next year in Kong: Skull Island - is leaning towards playing the character. Inside Out's Meg LeFauve is writing the screenplay alongside Guardians of the Galaxy scribe Nicole Perlman. A director has yet to be chosen for to take the helm of the movie.
Do you think Larson is a good choice to play Captain Marvel? Let us know your thoughts below.
