Wow-- Robert Queen is alive? Damn-- I have to catch up on reading this!

(Also, I love the fact that Robert Queen looks like pre-Flashpoint Oliver Queen. That Van Dyke beard just couldn't stay dead, now could it?)

He's got like 4 arrows in his quiver.

@AnnoDomini: I don't think they'll bring Robert back on Arrow. The Robert Queen on the show isn't NEARLY this cool, so there's no reason to revive him-- hell, the show's practically forgotten about him at this point, even as a motivation for Oliver.

Also, it's kinda hard to fake shooting yourself in the head right in front of your own son, who buries you under a pile of rocks (which, dead or not, would crush most of his bones and leave him in a pretty sorry state).

Then again, with Ra's Al Ghul on the horizon, we might just see the Lazarus Pits make an appearance someday, so I guess anything's possible... but I'd much rather see, say, Count Vertigo brought back from the beyond than Robert Queen.

I'm no Arrow fan, but yeah, they've completely forgotten about Robert Queen and almost the entire S1 conspiracy except for the fact the Glades is all [frick]ed up.

I don't why Lemire seems so intent on making GA look as lame and generic as [frick]ing possible.

@MetahumanAbominationKlone: I'd blame Andrea Sorrentino for Ollie's look more than Lemire... she's been the artist on this book since he took over, and given that she had to work with the character designs the New 52 left her with, I think he turned out okay.

All you can blame Lemire for is the solid scripting and the melodramatic plot twists.

@TheFox

From what I gather, Lemire dictates how GA looks. That's the general impression I got from the interviews.

Arrow needs to take more from this comic arc. This is an amazing series and I love reading it.

Ollie's suit on Arrow needs to look like the knee in his comic. Season three, the suit needs to evolve. Superhero suits evolve. Make Shado alive somehow. She's too important to te GA mythology. I wanna see Komodo and Onomatopoeia too

Like the artwork and the storyline doesn't look too bad!

@antman73: Whoops! My mistake.

@MetahumanAbominationKlone: Fair enough. But I don't think he looks all that horrible... A little bit like "Smallville" Green Arrow, but still...

... Wait, what am I saying? That Green Arrow was HORRIBLE!

Well, anyway, the lucky thing is that the writing is solid enough to overcome how mediocre Ollie himself looks. Not to mention, the layouts are graphically interesting, even if the character designs themselves aren't...

I hear this series stopped sucking at issue 17 so i bought the latest volume of Green Arrow haven't read it yet. I do know the first 16 issues of the current GA run sucked. I love the art it's refreshing since DC uses the same generic artstyle for most of their comics to help the "shared universe" But it doesn't help the shared universe at all DC comics still feel very seperate from eachother while at Marvel it actually feels like a universe. But Marvel also is killing it in the art department. So many titles with great art alot of thema are different art styles but all of them are still amazing art just different art styles which makes it more intresting and enjoyable. DC universe already feels seperate and forced the least they could do his have some diversity in the art instead of having just about everyone of their comics have the same artstyle. They chose such a generic art style too.

Am not sure I like the fact that his father is alive and the whole reason Oliver became Green Arrow or was stranded on the Island was because of his father throgh design. I also find it weird that Shado is actually his father's lover .... I mean ... I was actually a Green Arrow fan before the New 52 and before the Arrow hipsters came alond, and it was Oliver and Shado that had a thing, a pretty big thing ... like a son(although he was raped).

The art just looks like shit.

And I HATE the entire "52" "re-imagining" bullshit.

I'll pass this crap right by.

Bring back Mike Grell and roll back the huge mistake that is 52.

This art rocks. Great feel to the entire thing. Nice foreshadowing of the real Green Arrow with his 'father' there. Might have to pick this run up...
