The recent revelation, that beloved Steve Rogers was a sleeper HYDRA agent for all these years, was shocking to many comic-book fans. But it's only the beginning of one of the biggest events in the history of Marvel and before the SECRET EMPIRE hits stores this May, let's have a look at SE #0 - the prologue of the bigger story, where the Captain America's villainous plan is going to be revealed!

The creators of SECRET EMIPRE have a simple trick to convince readers, even those, who are fed up with the bigger-than-life, long stories, so popular in Marvel Comics currently. “Wherever you find favor within the Marvel Universe, SECRET EMPIRE is a story for you. When the world’s most respected and trusted superhero, Captain America, assumes ultimate power and goes bad, it serves as a rallying cry for all the heroes";  says Marvel Editor-in-Chief, Axel Alonso.  We also have a confirmation of teams, which will stand together against the Roger's Empire: "Avengers, X-Men, Guardians, Inhumans and street-level heroes unite to fight for the fate – and soul – of the Marvel Universe.”

Thanks to CBR, we have our first look at Mark Brooks' Secret Empire #0 cover:

Featuring art by Steve McNiven, Andrea Sorrentino, Leinil Yu and Daniel Acuna, the nine-issue miniseries is characterized as the culmination of writer Nick Spencer’s work on such titles as “Captain America: Sam Wilson” and “Captain America: Steve Rogers.” The event picks up the threads from “Civil War II,” with Steve Rogers, now a covert Hydra operative due to the Red Skull using a Cosmic Cube to manipulate his origin, assuming leadership of S.H.I.E.L.D.
