The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023 and, as part of that, the studio will highlight the incredible storytellers, creators, and fans who, together, spark the magic and wonder of Disney.

Disney 100 is also a celebration of timeless storytelling and unforgettable characters that have entertained and inspired people of all ages for a century, and Marvel Comics will get in on the action and mark the occasion with a special monthly Disney 100 Variant Cover Program featuring icons such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and more.

The variant program, in honour of Disney100, will pay homage to Marvel's past, present, and future through the classic "What If" lens with an amazing reimagining of some classic comic book covers.

We've already seen previous waves of these first-of-their-kind art pieces paying homage to the foundational stories of the Marvel Universe, game-changing storylines, and its' most beloved heroines. Now, you can check out the final three pieces (via Toonado.com) which put a Disney spin on some of the most pivotal and impactful moments in Marvel Comics' history.

As you can see, these variant covers Mickey Mouse and friends in key blockbuster issues like Todd McFaralane's iconic Amazing Spider-Man #300 cover, Secret Wars #1, one of the first crossover event comic series, and the mutant milestone and best-selling comic book of all time, 1991's X-Men #1.

Ever since Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment, fans have shared their hope for a crossover between the two companies and this is perhaps the best effort we've seen to date. As of now, these characters have yet to be mashed up - or meet - on screen in live-action, animation, or otherwise.

We're sure it will happen somewhere down the line, though, and Disney+'s The Simpsons shorts are a good example of what it could look like.

Take a closer look at these latest Marvel Comics Disney100 variant covers below.
