CONSTANTINE Television Series Heading To NBC; MAN OF STEEL's David S. Goyer To Produce

We already have Arrow on the CW, with The Flash not too far behind. Well, following the announcement earlier this week that a Commissioner Gordon focused Gotham is heading to Fox, Warner Bros. are now developing a John Constantine series on NBC! Read on for details.

Deadline has revealed that John Constantine is heading to the small screen on NBC, with Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics developing the project with writer and executive producer Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist). David S. Goyer - who worked on The Dark Knight Trilogy and penned Man of Steel - will also serve as a producer. Like the recently launched "The New 52" series, the TV show will be called Constantine. According to the site, it will focus on: "John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond." What this means for the rumoured Justice League Dark movie is unclear, but we now have Arrow, Gotham, The Flash and this all on the small screen or being developed for it. An exciting time to be a DC fan, wouldn't you say?

Hey this could lead to JL: Dark? Wow, jeez. I think this and Gotham will be apart of the DCCU, while arrow and flash will not. But I hope they announce more shows!

NBC might mean it will be a little soft but they do Hannibal. I doubt Del Toro's Dark Universe is even going to get made.

If this screw over del Toro's Justice League Dark movie, I'll be kind of pissed off. If not, I'm in full support of this and hope to god it'll be good. Arrow, Flash, Gotham, and Constantine? DC looks to have a nice TV line-up over the next couple of years. Hopefully they start increasing their film output as well.

After the Legendary/WB split, Del Toro's JLD is highly unlikely. WB doesn't even have the balls to do a Flash or WW movie, imagine a team movie with obscure/dark characters like Etrigan or Deadman.

As long as there is an overarching interrelated design to all their properties I will be content.

Well at least it's not CW. Then again David S Goyer is the producer. Also it's not confirmed this will be in the DCCU, people are just speaking rumors.

Also, where is Guillmero Del Toro, i'm still waiting for more news on Justice League Dark. I'd rather a movie than a tv show.

OMG, DC is tearing it up. They're going to have the biggest and fleshed out universe any of us has ever seen. Kudos to Warner for finally getting their act together.

This looks like an entry point for magic to enter the DCCU. Maybe this will lead to Justice League Dark just like Gotham can tie together the missing pieces of Batman's (and the super villains) past.

As far as Arrow and Flash go, there is no way i would leave those two shows out. Arrow is a success. Flash hopefully will be. That should be all they need to be added.

Good way of not entirely mimicking Marvel. My ass will be watching, The Flash if it turns out good. I ditched Arrow after a couple episodes. But, not sure how successful all of this will turn out. Kind of weary on this.
