About CROSSOVER BATTLES:
These are a series of weekly articles in which I take two different characters from two different universes and you decide who would win in a fight. The results are posted the next week in the following Battle.
Despite these being weekly, there were some delays in the last few CB's, but they are now back on track.
LAST WEEK'S BATTLE:
Blade The Vampire Hunter VS Vampirella
Winner: NO ONE VOTED!!!
For the sake of routine, I'm just going to consider this a
TIE.
THIS WEEK'S EVENT
Green Lantern
First Appearance: All American Comics #16 (July 1940)
Real Name: Alan Scott
Team: DC Universe (Earth 2)
Arch-Nemesis: Sinestro Solomon Grundy
Bio:
Centuries ago, a mystical Green Flame made it's way to ancient China from space. It was carved into a lantern. In the mid-1900s, an engineer named Alan Scott found the mystical lantern and was transformed into the GREEN LANTERN. He uses his ring to bring justice and to protect. His ring doesn't work on anything
yellow wooden or relating to plants. He has a degree of invulnerability and can fly, as well as create constructs. His ring causes him to age at a very slow rate. Everytime he charges his ring, GL has 24 hours of power.
The Mandarin
First Appearance: Tales Of Suspense #50 (February 1964)
Real Name (NOTE: there have been various versions of the character since his creation):
Xin Xhang, Shin Xhang, Arnold Brock, Gene Khan, Aldrich Killian (imposter), Trevor Slattery (imposter), Marvel Cinematic Universe character of unknown name
Team: Marvel Universe
Villain Of: Iron Man (arch-nemesis)
Bio:
Arch-nemesis to one of the biggest heroes the Marvel Universe has to offer (IE Iron Man), THE MANDARIN would obviously need to be a bad-@$$. That he is. A descendant of Genghis Khan and leader of the terrorist organization known as The Ten Rings, The Mandarin draws his power from ten different extra-terrestrial rings. But even without his rings, he is a master schemer, martial artist, genius and warrior. He is so skilled in martial arts that he can split Iron Man's armour with his bare hands. In some incarnations of the character, The Mandarin wears armour himself. His rings give him various abilities including ice blast, light absorption, telepathy, telekinesis, molecule separation, electricity blast, vortex creation, flame blast, impact beam, gravity enhancement and molecule rearrangement.
