Star Wars Prequel reboot

Star Wars Prequel reboot

The one trilogy that nobody seems to like gets a re-do

To be honest, with the exception of the first movie, I actually liked the prequel trilogy.

It obviously wan't as good as the original trilogy, but it was still pretty good. But the problem with it was it had flaws, and yes every movie has flaws, but these flaws you could see them without even thinking about what it could be missing.

I think that if Lucas hands over the franchise to somebody else, that the prequel trilogy will get a reboot and I think it would be better that way.

It seems like when Lucas is making these movies, he's not really thinking about what the fans would want to see, but what his family would find acceptable.

One problem that I have with the Star Wars prequel trilogy is that all the women are dressed up like nuns. Lets be honest, does anybody here like to see nuns with MIME makeup on? C'mon George!

The only time anybody has seen a half naked woman in a Star Wars movie is episode 6 and that is all. I understand you don't want to offend your mother by putting a half naked woman in your movie, but the fact that you are going so far as to cover up everything is totally insane.

But I digress from my previous point, and that I do think that even though I thought the prequel trilogy was pretty good, it wouldn't hurt to do it over again and maybe this time without George Lucas.

If I was going to pick a director it would be Brad Bird.

James McAvoy as Obi-Wan Kenobi

Liam Hemsworth as Anakin Skywalker

Liam Neeson as Qui Gon Jin

I know you guys aren't a big fan of using people from the original cast in a reboot, but I couldn't really find anybody who would play the role better and that is why I am picking Neeson.

Ray Park as Darth Maul

If you know anybody who could play the role better than Ray Park, then please tell me.

I think Darth Maul needs to be the main villian for the first three movies. I didn't like the fact that they killed him off in the first and I think they should make Maul the main antagonist for the first three movies, just like they did with Vader in the first three for the original series.

Don Cheadle as Mace Windu

Serinda Swan as Padme

Temuera Morrison as Jango Fett

I pretty sure, we all agree that Jango Fett is awesome right? So I think it would be good to bring him back and the guy that played him as well.

Gary Oldman as Palpentine

I tried to pick somebody different from Ian Mcdiarmid and I thought Gary Oldman was a good choice, I don't know why, but it seems to just fit to me. You guys will probably hate it, but I think he could be a good Palpentine.

Good cast. I've always liked the idea of James McAvoy as Obi-Wan.
Not big on your choice for Anakin, but everything else is good.

I like MCavoy as Obi Wan even though I thought Ewan McGregor was great.

I want to see Jamie Bell as Luke Skywalker but I think he would be a great Anikin as well.

Also I would cast Gary Oldman as Qui Gon and Andy Serkis as Palpatine.

The biggest problem with the prequels is they lack 'retro-continuity' if you will. I wrote an editorial on this very subject. The prequels don't faithfully construct events described by Obi-Wan and Yoda in SW 4,5 & 6. Although 1,2 & 3 were visually stunning, they totally sucked as SW movies. If they were just stand alone sci-fi movies with no affiliation with SW, I'd say they were awesome, but I'm biased about this subject because SW 4&5 are masterpieces that shouldn't be fu**** with ...even by Lucas.

Although this is a good cast, and I'd love to see SW 1,2 &3 re-booted , but only if it is faithful to dialogue in SW 4,5 &6 where the past is discussed.

...and don't disagree with me; I'll rip your arm out of it's socket...

While I agree that Liam Hemsworth would have been a better Anakin,....like anyone else I imagine could be better then Hayden....

Replacing Ewan McGreggor is a mistake, he was one of the few characters in the prequels, low the only one, who actually BECAME their character.

I agree that Sam L. Jackson isn't the only one who could've played Mace Windu, and another actress as Padame might be good, but not necessary as perhaps replacing Anakin...

NOW

Let me congratulate you, I thought "I" was the only one who thought that Gary Oldman would be BOSS as Palpatine, I so wanted that to happen, he just seemed so much more like a caniving smooth operator in the Senate and actual Sith.

Everybody except Liam Neeson can go.

@Lewis25 I thought that McGregor was great also. I just think that if it were to be rebooted, the character of Obi-Wan could use a new face.

@TheSoulEater I'm glad that I am not the only one that thinks Oldman can play Palpentine.

@Fartman Do you mean from the original cast or this cast?

@PhuckEu Can you at least say it is better than the original cast?

Seems like a bit of a slap in the face to keep some of the original cast, and replace the rest with actors who are fairly famous for comic book movies.

@Moakynubs

I couldn't think of anybody else for those specific roles.

@NowtheresaBATman

Reboot... It is a reebot! I kept a few people, but I had to replace most of the actors in order to call it a reboot!

Liam may look like someone from Twighlight, but does that mean he acts like someone from Twighlight? No!

Cheadle is a great actor and I think he would be a good Windu.

If this is the worst fancast that you've ever seen then you haven't seen that many.
