The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan will write The Stuff of Legend for Disney. The project is based on a graphic novel written by Mike Raicht and Brian Smith, with artwork from Charles Paul Wilson III. The family friendly story follows a group of toys who travel into a dark realm together in order to rescue their owner from the Boogeyman. Disney art designer Peter Candeland is currently attached to direct. Melton and Dunstan wrote four of the seven Saw movies, along with Piranha 3D and MGM's upcoming adaptation of The Outer Limits. They also did an uncredited rewrite on Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim.

[frick]. Thought it was going to be James Wan and Leigh Whannell. Wan is definitely growing as a director. The Conjuring was one of the best horror movies in years and Insidious was pretty good but was ultimately let down by its small budget.

@josh, you'll never be taken seriously as a writer if you keep bashing movies you don't like. You never know whose reading your articles.
