During a recent Twitter Q&A, The Dark Tower's Katheryn Winnick expressed an interest in taking on the role of Black Canary in the DC Films Universe. A fan-favourite choice to play Captain Marvel, fans would love to see her play a superhero, and the response to this particular suggestion was met very positively. That doesn't mean it will happen, but some new fan-art shows us what it would look like!

This is once again the work of @Bosslogic, and for those of you who weren't already convinced that she's a good fit for the role, this may very well change your mind! Of course, that depends on whether or not Green Arrow and his supporting cast are coming to the big screen. There have been rumours that Black Canary will show up in Justice League, and that's likely with Birds of Prey on the way...

Great edit either way whoever takes on the Black Canary role in the DCEU I hope is treated better than the poor treatment she got on Arrow cuz that was just disgraceful

Haha, that art sucks! Especially the Green Lantern mask job. She's gorgeous and awesome either way though.

@MosquitoFarmer - The mask could use some better blending, but it's going a bit far to say the whole thing sucks. It works as a concept demonstration to give an idea of how she'd look in the role.

@MosquitoFarmer - it "sucks" is harsh. Artists deserve better comments and criticism. This stuff gets no money, so the least you could do is provide some courtesy to the effort an artist puts in to do a mock up or rendering from imagination.
