Matt Nable Joins Season Three Of ARROW As 'Ra's Al Ghul'
Batman Begins star Liam Neeson recently expressed interest in reprising the role of Ra's Al Ghul in Arrow if asked, but now Stephen Amell has taken to Twitter to reveal that the leader of the League of Assassins will in fact be played by Matt Nable (Riddick) in season three...
Arrow has found its Ra's Al Ghul and it's Matt Nable, an actor best known for starring in short-lived TV shows like Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms and Underbelly as well as opposite Vin Diesel on the big screen in Riddick. His take on the iconic villain who was last played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins will first be seen in the fourth episode, "The Magician" (which also happens to be Arrow's fifthieth episode). This version of Ra's Al Ghul is described as, "The leader of the League of Assassins and father of Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law), Ra's is proud and unforgiving. A ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts and a shaper of history, Ra's carries the wisdom of the ages and protects some of its greatest secrets." Interestingly, it was star Stephen Amell who confirmed the casting, just hours after a brand new trailer was released. You can see that by clicking here.
