GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: Nova Corps Alternate Armor
A leaked image from Guardians of the Galaxy: The Art of the Movie (out next week) reveals an alternate armor design for the Nova Corps that looks a lot like the armor that Nova wears....
Kevin Feige previously stated that Nova was originally in an earlier draft of Guardians of the Galaxy, but the character was eventually cut from the film to make the cosmic adventure more Star-Lord -centric. Perhaps development on the character progressed far enough for concept art to be produced, as this illustration from Guardians of the Galaxy: The Art of the Movie features a much more detailed version of the standard armor worn by the Corpsman in the film. With James Gunn currently hard at work on Guardians of the Galaxy 2, perhaps Nova makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in that film? But the question is which one - Richard Rider or Sam Alexander?
There's a strong theory among the fan communitty that the Nova Corps members in the MCU will be organized by rank - Corpsman, Millenians, Denarians, Centurion and Nova Prime; and that the members featured in Guardians of the Galaxy were only Corpsman. Perhaps in the sequel, this is the armor that will be worn by Denarians or Centurions?
