Last month, an Italian site claimed that Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters reboot will be titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Now, it appears as if that's been confirmed thanks to a British Board of Film Classification listing which also reveals that the first trailer will run for 2 minutes, 28 seconds.

With the likes of Jumanji: The Next Level and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on the way, it's going to be a busy month for trailers and this one should be with us in time for the former.

The last Ghostbusters reboot (a female-led effort from director Paul Feig) was controversial to say the least but this effort is set to serve as a sequel of sorts to 1989's Ghostbusters II. A number of original cast members will reprise their classic roles but the focus will be put on a new cast which includes Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, and Mckenna Grace

There's still a lot of excitement surrounding this "sequel," though, and our first look at Afterlife promises to be very interesting as the pressure is on Reitman to deliver something special.

The movie is set to be released in theaters on July 10th, 2020. Are you excited?

Finally a real Ghost Busters movie, hopefully Leslie Jones won't make anymore comments and we can just enjoy it.

Hopefully it turns out good. That corny reboot with Leslie Jones was awful.

I like how we have to click this article to get to know the subtitle of the movie whereas the subtitle of Avengers Endgame was right there in the title on the frontpage when the first trailer of Endgame dropped, completely spoiling for the surprise for those wanted to watch the trailer first

It never needed a great title for me, and so I'm not disappointed. Actually.. why did they call it that? This is interesting.

Aside from the fact they're practically bringing the franchise back from the dead. :D

I kinda wish it would have been just called ghostbusters iii just to fully cement the reboots irrelevance but i cant say I have an issue with the title itself

Wish/hope we can get a surprise Rick Moranis cameo. He is just too integral to those movies. But if not, at least they got Paul Rudd.

@MosquitoFarmer - that’s soooo my hope too. Oh man. He’s done some occasional work again so you gotta think they asked him.
