I'm sure everyone remembers the end of The Incredible Hulk when Dr Samuel Sterns is doused with gamma and has his head begin to swell and bubble. He was clearly being lined up to return somewhere down the line as The Leader. But then everything went a bit up in the air when Ed Norton was recast with Mark Ruffalo in the role of Bruce Banner. Tim Blake Nelson, who played Sterns, was asked all about it during an interview with ThePlaylist..

When asked if he was signed for more Marvel films, he replied,

“I am, but it’s a question as to whether they’ll make more movies, which was the [original] intention, or whether they’ll take a fresh start with the villains, since they switched Bruce Banner to Mark Ruffalo. I certainly very much want to return as the Leader and I hope they’ll have me. The intention was that I would come back, which is why my head starts to, um, bubble, at the end. It’s just a question as to whether a) they’re going to make more Hulk movies, and b) because of Ruffalo, if they’re going to use me again.”

Personally I think Marvel would be crazy not to just keep on making movies that follow on from TIH. So they had to change lead actor, would anyone seriosuly stand for yrt another reboot of every other aspect post Avengers? I think we will be seeing Nelson again at some point, big green head and all.
