When Lobo was announced as one of DC's next characters to receive the studio treatment, fans of the last living Czarnian started throwing possible casting choices around all over the net. Newly released information regarding the film's production shows that we might have been a bit ahead of ourselves.

DC Comics blue skinned, alien bounty hunter will be getting his own movie treatment, but Guy Ritchie might not be the man behind the lens.

The director of the much anticipated film Sherlock Holmes has denied the rumor that he is confirmed to take on Lobo as his next project.

Ritchie recently spoke with MTV News:

"Is it a matter of fact that I'm doing it?" Ritchie said "I don't think it's a matter of fact."

"In fact, I can tell you it's not a matter of fact."

When pressed to divulge any information regarding his involvement with the project, Ritchie added:

"Isn't there a fifth amendment or something?"

Ritchie's name has also been attached to the possible Sgt. Rock film. Now that his name isn't officially attached to Lobo, we might see him follow through with DC's WWII battle-hardened hero.
