You'll Need A Disney+ Subscription If You Hope To Keep Up With The Marvel Cinematic Universe

The Marvel TV shows coming to Disney+ clearly won't be optional viewing, because Kevin Feige has now confirmed that you'll need to tune in if you hope to understand what's going on in the movies...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (obviously) has a lot of fans, but does it now run the risk of alienating some of them with the launch of Disney+? Well, it's certainly possible as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that watching TV shows like WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be essential to understanding what's happening on the big screen.

According to Bloomberg, "If you want to understand everything in future Marvel movies, [Feige] says, you’ll probably need a Disney+ subscription, because events from the new shows will factor into forthcoming films such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."

While comic book fans will obviously dive into every piece of Marvel content they can get their eyes on, casual moviegoers who don't follow this shared world religiously could wind up being confused if they haven't watched two six hour TV shows before checking out the Doctor Strange sequel.

As a result, they could wind up feeling alienated and that may very well hurt future Marvel movies at the box office. Then again, with studies claiming that two thirds of Americans are planning to subscribe to Disney+, it may not end up being an issue. Either way, a subscription will be a must!
