Mark Wayne Williams (33) was arrested by police in Michigan on September 29th for obstructing police while they were searching for a man who had fled the scene of an accident. Williams pleaded "Not Guilty" Thursday in Petoskey District Court.

That's not all however, this isn't Williams' first brush with police as Batman. He was sentenced to 6 months probation last year after police responded to a report of "Batman" on the roof of a local business. In a statement from Williams, he's stated that he had good intentions on September 29th.

“I don’t want to be a police officer. I think what police officers do is great, but it’s up to each person to take a stand and do something to make things better. A lot of times, what I’ve seen from situations I’ve been in, people see something going on and think the police will handle it, but if nobody calls the police or takes a stand, it’s not going to help. Dressing up in my costume, as Batman, is my way of saying that it’s not up to the government to save us.”

-Williams told the Petoskey News-Review.

I have a huge collection of both movies and comics... As a kid and teenager I collected Marvel but within the past few years I've mainly gotten into DC Comics particularly Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Firestorm. Other favorites of mine are Outburst and The Ray. I've recently started getting back into Star Trek which TNG was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I'm married to a beautiful woman named Elizabeth have 2 girls (Marissa 9 and Alexandria 2) and a son who's a year old named Edward. I own my own handyman and lawn care business. this is what happens when people really act out the fantasies in the comics. people take comics waaaaaaayyyy too seriously. they're a bunch of drawings so that an artist can make money (at least that's how it is with teh big studios).

If actually helping people was in his interest then he'd be patrolling the streets, not standing on top of a goddamned mother[frick]ing building playing dress up.
