As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, a new trailer and poster for Godzilla Minus Zero have been released. After battling humans in 2023's Godzilla Minus One, the iconic Kaiju will take on an even more formidable threat in the upcoming sequel.

Yes, the roar featured in the closing moments of this sneak peek belongs to King Ghidorah, the iconic three-headed dragon and Godzilla's ultimate archenemy. With massive wings, two tails, and the ability to shoot devastating, lightning-like gravity beams from its three mouths, filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki's take on King Ghidorah will almost certainly exceed expectations.

The monster's appearance hasn't been revealed yet, but based on how this trailer ends, King Ghidorah will be more than a match for humanity and Godzilla alike.

"War reduced Japan to zero, and Godzilla plunged it into minus," reads Godzilla Minus Zero's synopsis. "Two years have passed since then, and the country has faced agonizing struggles to achieve recovery and finally reclaim its daily life. Just as humanity managed to cling to a hard-won peace, a new threat strikes, crushing hope in an instant. There is no third time. Everything ends here."

Shot entirely in Japan as the first-ever Japanese production to be filmed for IMAX, Godzilla Minus Zero was shot with high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX, and optimised in sound and imagery unique to IMAX screens. The globally beloved monster returns to movie theater screens, reaching greater and more terrifying heights, making Godzilla Minus Zero a true cinematic event not to be missed.

Godzilla Minus One was widely hailed as one of the best movies featuring its titular monster. With overwhelmingly positive reviews (it has 99% on Rotten Tomatoes) and an impressive $116 million at the worldwide box office on a reported $10 million to $15 million budget, Toho wasted no time when it came to greenlighting a sequel.

At the 2023 Academy Awards, Godzilla Minus One became the first-ever non-English-language movie to win an Oscar for "Best Visual Effects." In doing so, it bested big-budget Hollywood blockbusters like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3The Creator, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning.

Godzilla Minus Zero arrives in theaters on November 6, three days after its Japanese debut.

@Slushythrone455 - Same, my only complaint is King Ghidorah...again? The USA version already used him twice as the villain. But then again we never got to see Japan do it so they're probably going to do it better too lol.

That would be cool if King Ghidorrah is the main hero and comes to save Japan as a mythical protector.

UGH! 😖 Save us from YET ANOTHER King Ghidorah appearance! SMH

Gotta' believe that TOHO pushed for that. Anything out of King Ghidorah, Mothra or Mecha-G is gonna' be tough to get a blessing on. Was secretly longing for Hedorah but, after the masterpiece that was MINUS ONE, Takashi Yamazaki has my full faith going into this sequel. Will be counting down the days! 👍🏻

@CyberBishop - I guess you're right, but considering that he would put a spoiler warning on "water is wet" he would've considered it here. Especially with the way it was revealed.
