Director Mike Dougherty has taken to Twitter on the 69th day of Godzilla 2's production to share a new tease from the set of the sequel. As you can see below, it offers up an look at a very early version of the iconic monster alongside what appears to be a cockpit of some sort (a fighter jet, most likely). The actor sitting in there will presumably use the projection to know when to act in certain ways.

The Godzilla sequel stars Vera Farmiga, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Charles Dance, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. The story is expected to revolve around the members of Monarch as they square off not only with Godzilla but Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they will all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla 2 is still a long way off as it's not set to be released until March 2019. It will also set up the planned Godzilla vs. King Kong sequel so should be well worth checking out for more than just action!
